The problem with all too many Republican “free traders” that screech “ISOLATIONIST” is that they have accepted as a “norm” trade deals where the enforcement only goes one way – against us. Where one side cheats, keeps out our products, illegally tariffs our goods and we do nothing about it.

When someone comes along to do something about it (Trump) the “free traders” who were silent while real free trade was being violated for years all of the sudden screech “ISOLATIONIST.”

Even after Trump led us to a much more fair trade deal like the USMCA some are trying to resurrect  old, debunked talking points.

Sometimes I suspect that the Republican “free traders,” many of whom are “never Trumpers,” are working for the CCP or lobbying for Mexico.
