If mandating that everyone could buy healthcare would solve the healthcare problem, than government could just mandate that everyone should buy a house to solve homelessness. It isn’t that people don’t want healthcare, they can’t afford it.

    You do know that the very first congress passed multiple laws forcing ‘inactive’ non-consumers to buy guns, and medical insurance? Very simple and indisputable fact. I will be politely sitting here while you acknowledge your entire worldview is based on cherrypicking anecdotes and ignoring how every developed nation on Earth protects it’s least fortunate better than the US does.
