Occupy Movement Peaceful?
The elite media would have you believe that the TEA Party is a mob of violent racists in spite of the fact that not a single TEA Party activist has ever been arrested at an event.
Yet look at the pro anarchist/Marxists occupy protesters and ask yourself why the elite media doesn’t show you this. Also notice that these groups are very small, usually composing of a few dozen people to about two thousand (many of whom are paid by unions to be there – LINK). At a single Glenn Beck TEA Party event about 1.5 million people showed up and nothing was trashed, there was no mess, and no one was arrested.
AFL-CIO Union Chief: The Best Way To Create Jobs is to Raise Taxes
This is from the same man who said that government should take over all private business, who speaks in front of communist revolutionary groups, and has a long history of violence. Trumka talks to the White House every day and visits twice a week – LINK.

What’s the best way to get Americans back to work?
Raise taxes, according to AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka. Specifically, he wants to raise the federal gas tax as a means to fund infrastructure spending. “We need a dedicated source of revenue to create infrastructure in this country,” he tells Aaron Task in the accompanying clip.
“We need to create jobs. The best way to do that is through infrastructure development.” Simply maintaining the existing infrastructure in this country will cost $2.2 trillion over five years, according to the American Society of Civil Engineers. That doesn’t include Obama’s objective of high-speed rails and green energy projects.
Oh yes, we can tax ourselves into prosperity, and we can spend trillions on more stimulus packages most of the money goes to government unions to make this man even more wealthy. This line of “reasoning” from those who call small business owners greedy.
Flashback 2009: Democrats use Sopranos-style tactics in health care
by Newt Gingrich:
Rep. Henry Waxman is making America’s health insurance companies an offer they can’t refuse.
Like a mafia underboss trying to face down a rival crime family, the powerful California Democratic chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee has resorted to ugly intimidation tactics with opponents of government-run health care.
In the spirit of Joe McCarthy, earlier this week, Waxman and House Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Chairman Bart Stupak, D-MI, sent a letter to 52 of the nation’s largest health insurance companies that contained a not-so-veiled threat.

Waxman and Stupak’s letter demanded detailed information from health insurance companies about executive pay, corporate conferences and retreats, and other business practices.
For any employees or officers making more than $500,000 a year in the past six years, the congressmen are demanding details on salaries, bonuses, pensions and other compensation.
They’re asking for a list of conferences and retreats that are paid for by insurance companies. They’re also insisting that insurance companies disclose the identity of all board members and their compensation.
According to the letter, all this information must be provided by Sept. 14 as part of an investigation of “executive compensation and other business practices in the health insurance industry.”
Imagine that. An investigation of health insurance compensation launched by two powerful Democratic House Committee Chairmen in the midst of a coordinated campaign to vilify health insurance companies.
As far as intimidation tactics go, this latest move by Waxman and Stupak makes the White House’s effort to “flag” online political opponents look small time.
Waxman and Stupak are attempting to use raw political power to silence their opponents, plain and simple. If that’s not the case, why single out one sector of healthcare and not others, like physician groups, hospitals, and drug companies? Could it be because many of these groups have publicly supported the emerging Democratic legislation?
The problem for Democrats is that making health insurance companies the cartoon villains of heath care reform is a sign of desperation, not strength.
President Obama and his congressional allies have insisted for months that government health insurance is necessary, not to lay the groundwork for a single payer system, but to provide healthy competition for insurance companies.”To keep them honest,” in the president’s words.
But the more they talk down private health insurance in order to talk up government health insurance, the more the public distrusts government health insurance.
The latest NBC news poll found that 47 percent of Americans now oppose the government health insurance plan while just 43 percent support it. That’s a reversal of opinion from last month’s poll, in which 46 percent supported the government plan and 44 percent were opposed.
Americans have a lot to be dissatisfied with when it comes to private health insurance, but we’re not buying the argument that “competition” from government run health insurance will fix things.
If the White House is so interested in creating competition, why not give health care consumers real choices of better plans by creating a national health insurance market?
Today, there are more than 1,300 health insurance companies in America divided among 50 different state markets with 50 different sets of regulation of what level of coverage private health insurance plans must offer in each state.
Consumers are currently prohibited from buying less expensive health insurance policies issued by a private health insurer in another state. Creating a nationwide health insurance market in which individuals or groups can choose better and less expensive coverage from another state would create real competition and force private insurers in each state to create better products, improve service and lower prices.
Americans know the public option is declining rapidly in support, and Waxman and Stupak know that we know it. That’s why they’ve resorted to Sopranos-style tactics with health insurance companies.
For them, private insurance companies aren’t legitimate options for Americans seeking higher quality, lower cost health care. They’re poll-tested straw men in a desperate campaign to create government run health care.
Maybe that’s why Americans view their health insurance companies more favorably than their congressmen.

Video: Here are your Planned Parenthood activists in action.
I appreciate their candor, even it if is a tad revolting.
Bottom line, they want to engage in all of the irresponsible behavior they want and they believe they have the RIGHT to make you pay for the consequences. Many of them also have some serious hate issues as you will see.
This is just something that has got to be seen to be believed.
By the way, Planned Parenthood engages in institutional violations of the law. This is merely one of these videos we could post:
Planned Parenthood “We can make sure that your donation aborts black babies only…” no joke folks:
Black community leaders speak out:
Planned Parenthood apologized for the phone calls, but there is one little problem. Planned Parenthood’s founder Margaret Sanger was a eugenicist who wanted to use abortion, segregation, sterilization, birth control both voluntary and involuntary, to create a master race. According to Sanger if we have to “clear the weeds” to “cultivate the garden” so be it and should be used to solve “the negro problem”:
“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.” – Margaret Sanger’s December 19, 1939 letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble, 255 Adams Street, Milton, Massachusetts. David Freddoso on corrupt “Gangster Government”
Freddoso’s new book is a tell all of government corruption. This is a no miss interview.
Chicago has come to Washington.
Dr. Walter Williams: Unions discriminate against black Americans, minimum wage impacts black teen unemployment. Regulations make licencing so expensive they keep minorities out.
When I was growing up, gas was 70 cents a gallon and when you went to get gas, a young person who was apprenticing at the service center attached to most every gas station would come out, pump your gas, check your tires and fluids, wipers etc. That young person was apprenticing under an experienced mechanic and learning valuable skills.
Those days are gone. Now gas is $4.00 and you pump it yourself. Service? Forget it, you will be lucky if the clerk speaks English. The minimum wage, labor regulations, and government regulations have brought such apprenticeships to a screeching halt.
Michael Barone: Gangster government stifles criticism of ObamaCare – UPDATED!
Previously from my old college blog:
“There will be zero tolerance for this type of misinformation and unjustified rate increases.”
That sounds like a stern headmistress dressing down some sophomores who have been misbehaving. But it’s actually from a letter sent Thursday from Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to Karen Ignagni, president of America’s Health Insurance Plans — the chief lobbyist for private health insurance companies.
Secretary Sebelius objects to claims by health insurers that they are raising premiums because of increased costs imposed by the Obamacare law passed by Congress last March.
She acknowledges that many of the law’s “key protections” take effect later this month and does not deny that these impose additional costs on insurers. But she says that “according to our analysis and those of some industry and academic experts, any potential premium impact . . . will be minimal.”
Well, that’s reassuring. Er, except that if that’s the conclusion of “some” industry and academic experts, it’s presumably not the conclusion of all industry and academic experts, or the secretary would have said so.
Sebelius also argues that “any premium increases will be moderated by out-of-pocket savings resulting from the law.” But she’s pretty vague about the numbers — “up to $1 billion in 2013.” Anyone who watches TV ads knows that “up to” can mean zero.
As Time magazine’s Karen Pickert points out, Sebelius ignores the fact that individual insurance plans cover different types of populations. So that government and “some” industry and academic experts think the new law will justify increases averaging 1 or 2 percent, they could justify much larger increases for certain plans.
Or as Ignagni, the recipient of the letter, says, “It’s a basic law of economics that additional benefits incur additional costs.”
But Sebelius has “zero tolerance” for that kind of thing. She promises to issue regulations to require “state or federal review of all potentially unreasonable rate increases” (which would presumably mean all rate increases).
And there’s a threat. “We will also keep track of insurers with a record of unjustified rate increases: Those plans may be excluded from health insurance Exchanges in 2014.”
That’s a significant date, the first year in which state insurance exchanges are slated to get a monopoly on the issuance of individual health insurance policies. Sebelius is threatening to put health insurers out of business in a substantial portion of the market if they state that Obamacare is boosting their costs.
“Congress shall make no law,” reads the First Amendment, “abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press.”
Sebelius’ approach is different: “zero tolerance” for dissent.
The threat to use government regulation to destroy or harm someone’s business because they disagree with government officials is thuggery. Like the Obama administration’s transfer of money from Chrysler bondholders to its political allies in the United Auto Workers, it is a form of gangster government.
“The rule of law, or the rule of men (women)?” economist Tyler Cowen asks on his marginalrevolution.com blog. As he notes, “Nowhere is it stated that these rate hikes are against the law (even if you think they should be), nor can this ‘misinformation’ be against the law.”
According to Politico, not a single Democratic candidate for Congress has run an ad since last April that makes any positive reference to Obamacare. The First Amendment gives candidates the right to talk — or not talk — about any issue they want.
But that is not enough for Sebelius and the Obama administration. They want to stamp out negative speech about Obamacare. “Zero tolerance” means they are ready to use the powers of government to threaten economic harm on those who dissent.
The closing paragraph of Sebelius’ letter to AHIP’s Karen Ignagni gives the game away. “We worked hard to change the system to help consumers.” This is a reminder that the administration alternatively collaborated with and criticized Ignagni’s organization. We roughed you up a little but we eventually made a deal.
The secretary goes on: “It is my hope we can work together to stop misinformation and misleading marketing from the start.” In other words, shut your members up and play team ball — or my guys with the baseball bats and tommy guns are going to get busy. As Tyler Cowen puts it, “worse than I had been expecting.”

UPDATE – Barone continues:
A few days before my Examiner column accusing Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius of thuggery and gangster government for her threats against health insurers who contradict the administration line on the costs of Obamacare, my friend John Hoff, who worked on health care policy in the Bush administration, published a piece on the Heritage website describing some of the things the administration might be able to do under Obamacare. Including de facto price controls without explicit authority. Sounds like a primer on gangster government—taking away people’s property without due process of law. All the more reason to repeal this appallingly bad legislation.
Gov. Christie: Government Union Spent $6 million in TV Ads Motivating People to Hate
Six million in less than three months…
“Anti-Hate” group that protested councilwoman for criticizing Islam turns out to be Muslim Brotherhood front group.
It is called Taqiyya, deception. Preach peace, love and tolerance while attacking anyone who would critique Sharia Law or the other parts of Islam that are anti-American and anti-civilization.
The Islamic Circle is such a group, like CAIR, which documents obtained by the FBI among other evidence shows that this Islamic Circle group you will see in the video below, is in fact a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood, the largest and oldest radical Islamic group in the world, whose founding goes back to the Grand Mufti in WWII. This group wanted to help Hitler to carry out “the final solution” against the Jews.
To see the evidence about the Islamic Circle you can get the narrative, filled with links and the documents themselves right HERE.
[Editor’s Note – Notice that the anchor said that the councilwoman made statements about Muslims. No she didn’t. She made a statement about Islam itself, which is a theo-political, legal and cultural belief system. This is another example of reporters just making dumb mistakes.]
Islam is not a religion of peace, a statement I will be happy to debate anytime. Most Muslims do not take their religion to militant levels of seriousness, but since he Koran, the Hadith and Islamic precedent are what they are we cannot be afraid to acknowledge that many of the militant groups are interpreting these documents correctly. We also cannot forget the lesson of Lebanon. Lebanon was a modern Christian country. When Islamists started coming in many Christians wanted it stopped, but they insisted that they were about peace, love, democracy and “social justice”. The numbers continued to grow. It was not long before Christians were being killed, and the Islamist numbers grew to the point where they started to get power in the government. Anyone who wanted to slow down the immigration was dealt with by the tactics you see in this video above into silence, or otherwise eliminated. Now look at what has happened. Within a few short years the Christians are out of power, being slaughtered and many had to flee. Then Lebanon started launching missiles against Israel.
Now Lebanon is a Iranian satellite state controlled by Hezbollah. These same tactics were used the 70’s in Iran. Jimmy carter and Zbignew Brzezinski were so fooled that they helped the Mullahs come to power. The same tactics have been used in Egypt where now it seems that the Muslim Brotherhood may take over the country, and Obama helped them by helping them force Mubarak out. The same tactic is being used in Sweden and France and England. All of these countries are having problems with Islamic Rape gangs targeting young girls. Those who speak out against the gangs in Europe get the treatment you saw in that video, and these militant Islamists combined with their allies on the radical left have set up the hate crime laws and their biased enforcement to makes it dangerous for others to speak out against them.
If any doubt me just ask Lebanon survivor Brigitte Gabriele, former PLO terrorist Walid Shoebat, the scholar Robert Spencer, or the heroic Ayaan Hirsi Ali and they can tell you first hand.
STONED TO DEATH…
…by those professing “the religion of peace”.
A teenage Muslim girl was stoned to death under ‘Sharia law’ after taking part in a beauty contest in Ukraine.
Katya Koren, 19, was found dead in a village in the Crimea region near her home.
Her battered body was buried in a forest and was found a week after she disappeared.
Police have opened a murder investigation and are looking into claims that three Muslim youths killed her, claiming her death was justified under Islam. One of the three – named as 16-year-old Bihal Gaziev – is under arrest and told police that Katya had ‘violated the laws of Sharia’. Gaziev has said he has no regrets about her death.

Obama’s Assault on South Carolina Jobs
Of course this is aside from his assault in Gulf Coast jobs with the illegal offshore drilling ban, the assault on Alaska jobs with the revocation of Shell’s oil rights, the assault on West Virginia jobs with the completely arbitrary revocation of mining permits, the assault on Nevada jobs with the political closing of the Yucca Mountain nuclear facility.

More details from Newt Gingrich in Human Events:
Suspicious Timing
In October 2009, Boeing decided to open a new production facility in North Charleston, SC to meet the growing demand for its 787 Dreamliner airplane.
The decision came after months of negotiations with the machinists union leadership at Boeing’s main production hub in Puget Sound, WA. Since 1995, there have been five work stoppages in the Puget Sound plant. The most recent strike, in 2008, lasted 58 days and cost the company $1.8 billion.
Still, Boeing negotiated in good faith with the union leadership for the Puget Sound facility to try and find a way to open the new factory there. In exchange, Boeing wanted a ten year moratorium on strikes so the additional capacity upon which the company was about to spend billions of dollars would be a sound investment.
Boeing and the union were unable to reach an agreement so the company looked elsewhere. They eventually settled on South Carolina, which is one of the twenty two “right-to-work” states in our country where workers cannot be forced to join a union.
The complaint filed last month by the NLRB on behalf of the machinists union alleges that Boeing located the new facility away from Puget Sound in retaliation for the 2008 strike, which is illegal under the National Labor Relations Act. It makes this accusation despite the months Boeing spent negotiating with the union to try and reach a deal to open the new facility in Puget Sound, and despite the fact that there is a clear legal precedent that allows companies to consider the impact of future strikes when deciding where to open new facilities.
It is the timing of NLRB’s complaint, in fact, which seems retaliatory in nature, not Boeing’s business decision.
The complaint comes a full seventeen months after Boeing announced the location of the new facility and thirteen months after the union leadership first asked NLRB to look into the issue.
Boeing has already begun construction of the new facility, hiring over 1000 people in South Carolina and investing $1 billion. This complaint puts all those jobs created and all that money invested at risk.Unelected, Unconfirmed Bureaucrats Running Wild
This action by the NLRB is even more disturbing when you consider that it is being led by Lafe Solomon, the acting General Counsel for NLRB, who still needs to be approved by the Senate. He only holds his position because of a recess appointment by President Obama.
The president also used a recess appointment to place Craig Becker on the NLRB after Becker was rejected by a Democratic Senate in 2010.
As a recent Daily Caller article discovered, Becker’s past writings reveal a disturbing socialist bent that bear directly on the Boeing complaint.
Becker has previously written that the federal government should control and constrain the freedom of companies to direct their capital and resources as they please in order to rig labor negotiations in favor of unions. Becker has also written that the NLRB possesses the power to impose card-check policies on the nation without an act of Congress.
An Assault on the Right to Work
It is clear that President Obama is packing the NLRB board with left wing ideologues as a payoff to his union boss allies, so that the fix is in with regard to this case and others like it.
The move is consistent with an ongoing pattern in the Obama administration, in which they use the apparatus of big government to reward their allies and punish their opponents.
South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham was exactly right when he characterized the complaint as “one of the worst examples of unelected bureaucrats doing the bidding of special interest groups that I’ve ever seen.”
If the NLRB is successful in overturning Boeing’s perfectly rational business decision, it puts tens of millions of future jobs in all 22 right-to-work states in jeopardy. It would make it effectively impossible for U.S. companies to open new facilities in right-to-work states if they are currently located in one that allows forced unionization.
Global Competition Is a Fact, Not a Theory
The Left simply cannot come to grips with the intensity of global economic competition and the demands it places on U.S. economic policies.
This blindness to reality was on display in the reaction to a recent USA Today article showing that Americans paid less taxes in 2009 than any time since the 1950s. The article has been used by the Left in recent days as a counter to the conservative case that tax increases would be devastating to any economic recovery, possibly driving us back into recession.
Their argument shows the Left is completely missing the point. In the new global economy, America is not competing against itself from 1990, 1970 or 1950.
We are competing against Germany, which today has only a 15% federal corporate income tax (and recently hit a 19-year low in its unemployment rate), compared to a 35% corporate tax rate in the U.S., the highest of any central government in the industrialized world.
We are competing against Singapore, which has a capital gains tax of zero, compared to a potential 35% capital gains tax in the United States.
We are competing against Switzerland, which caps the federal personal income tax rate at 11.5%.
We are competing against Canada, which just last week reelected an incumbent Conservative government that has pledged to cut the corporate tax to 15% and lower the personal income tax for families – all while planning to balance its entire budget by 2015.
Consider the case of the New York Stock Exchange. This icon of American free markets is now owned by a Dutch holding company.
That $10.2 billion takeover was driven by simple economic reality. As Walter Gavin, Vice President of Emerson, explains, the Netherlands has a tax code which makes it more profitable for the NYSE to be owned by a Dutch company than by an American one. In fact, according to Gavin, the United States lost almost forty companies to Amsterdam in 2010 alone thanks to their more business friendly environment.
This brings us back to President Obama and his union allies’ assault on South Carolina jobs and all twenty two right-to-work states in America.
If the NRLB’s complaint is successful, U.S. companies will simply increase their flight of capital and new facilities to places outside the United States. In the midst of a struggling economy, it will make it harder for businesses to operate in America, not easier.
The union bosses and their political allies in the White House aren’t going to save union jobs by attacking right-to-work states. They’ll simply prevent new jobs from being created here in America.
More HERE.
